CEREC - A Good Reason to Smile is One Visit Away
 |
With Cerec technology
what once took weeks now takes only hours. Previously, when an onlay,
inlay, or crown was preformed, the patient would have to endure many
impressions, a two or three week waiting period and a second round of
anesthesia when the restoration was placed. With Cerec restorations,
all of that disappears. The complete procedure can now be completed
in one simple visit. Impressions are performed with a digital camera,
there is only one round of anesthesia, and most importantly there is
no waiting period. The tooth being treated is first prepared for the
Cerec restoration. A digital camera then scans the tooth for 3 dimensional
orientation and designs a restoration. The image, once fully designed,
is fed into the milling apparatus where you can watch a solid block
of color matched porcelain milled down to your custom restoration. Once
completed, the restoration is bonded onto your tooth, and you are ready
to eat within 30 minutes.
The completed tooth
is actually stronger than your natural tooth due to the advanced bonding
techniques. The Cerec Cad/Cam is a great way to receive laboratory quality
restorations in one visit.
Remember:
- Minimal Impressions
- Only one round
of anesthesia
- Esthetic
- No Mercury (Hg)
